What is a human centric lighting driver?
A human centric lighting driver powers a tunable white luminaire and shifts its color temperature from warm to cool across the day to support people's natural circadian rhythm. This MESHLE driver is a constant-current, two-channel tunable white driver that handles both the power and the automated color-temperature transitions.
Does it need a hub or internet connection?
No. MESHLE is offline-first. The Bluetooth Mesh module is built into the driver, and schedules and astro timing are stored and executed locally on the device, so circadian lighting runs without any hub, gateway, or cloud connection. You can add a MESHLE Gateway later if you want remote access or smart-home integration.
What kind of luminaires can it drive?
It is a constant-current driver, so it pairs with bare two-channel tunable white LED engines — downlights, recessed panels, troffers, pendants, battens, and COB or linear engines that expect a regulated current. It is not designed to drive constant-voltage LED tape or strip; those need a constant-voltage controller instead.
How is the color temperature scheduled?
Through the free MESHLE App. You can set up to 8 schedules per day, each assignable to specific weekdays, triggered either by a fixed time or by local sunrise and sunset with a configurable offset. Once saved, the transitions run locally on the driver — no phone or internet needed.
What is NFC programming for?
NFC lets you set the driver's output current and configure its behavior quickly and precisely, including during production. It is a fast way to commission units on the line before the luminaire is even powered up.
Is it dimmable and flicker-free?
Yes. The driver supports smooth dimming and tunable white control over MESHLE Bluetooth Mesh, and it operates flicker-free across its full output range. It also supports DC emergency operation.
Who makes this driver?
The hardware is manufactured by CUPOWER, an isolated constant-current tunable white LED driver. MESHLE provides the embedded Bluetooth Mesh layer, the free MESHLE App, and the offline-first control, scheduling, and circadian automation.
Can it combine with MESHLE Swarm?
Yes. Because the driver outputs tunable white, it can run human-centric lighting on top of MESHLE Swarm: Swarm decides how bright each luminaire should be based on presence, while HCL decides the color temperature. Both layers coexist on the same mesh.
