How many luminaires can Bluetooth Mesh control?

A single MESHLE network handles up to 250 luminaires per type — so, for example, 250 dimmable plus 250 tunable-white fixtures can live in the same network. On Bluetooth SIG Mesh, which MESHLE can also run, a single network scales much higher — the standard addresses up to 32,767 nodes. In practice, rather than pushing one network to its limit, MESHLE recommends keeping each mesh network under about 250 nodes and scaling out across several networks.

For larger sites, MESHLE combines those networks through a gateway at the Edge — and optionally the cloud — into one system of up to around 20,000 devices, managed from a single dashboard and still running locally on-premise.
